I really want to make bread on a Friday. I'm wondering about starting the process off on a Thursday evening so it's less work on the Friday. The method recommended in this book: Artisinal Breads in 5 Minutes a Day.

My 2 youngest did the grocery shopping and the oldest at home is making dinner. My becoming unwell with chronic illness isn't great but it has been good for them in terms of having to learn basic skills like this.

I did a reverse image search to find the source of my current profile pic. It was an advert for bridal hair styles with braiding.

I spoke to the lady who used to clean for me today. I can't afford to pay her at the moment but she's so lovely. She said she would happily visit occasionally and clean in exchange for coffee & company!
I'm hoping my finances improve soon so I can actually pay her again!

Getting a robovac was recommended to me on a chronic illness forum. I just looked at the prices. Nice idea though. 😕

I totally overdid it yesterday, so I am not going to manage to get anything much done today unfortunately :(

I should clarify that what I managed to do today, which took up the whole day with many much longer rest periods in between very short bursts of activity, is barely the equivalent of what my healthy husband gets done altogether in ten minutes on a Saturday morning before I wake up.

So what I've achieved today is only impressive for me, not remotely impressive on a scale of healthy, able people. 😕

@Linuxtjej The nature of the demands change throughout life. I think that I thrived with the structure of school and it has got harder and harder ever since.

Because the men would be assumed to have both a wife AND a secretary, onto whom they would offload everything ADHD is bad at."

I'm trying to implement a routine. I love and thrive with routine but I'm really bad at creating and sticking to them.
I'm trying a mixture of The Organised Mum Method ( )and , (although I'm less keen on her recently due to her politics) she has some useful ideas.
Monday is supposed to include a and TOMM'S daily focus for Monday is the living room.
I'm quite pleased with how it has gone. Now I'm exhausted though.

How on earth do you get/ keep your house clean and tidy with chronic ill health? I miss having a cleaner desperately but I can't afford one unless or until I get some income. The mess really gets me down and I just can't fix it. ☹

Do you call your evening meal dinner, tea or supper (or something else)? 🤔

We say tea if it's sandwiches, dinner if it's a hot meal, supper if it's late in the evening.

What shall we have for supper?

I spent decades of my life in a state of perpetual chaos, frustration and self-loathing until I was finally diagnosed in my 40s with . It is still frustration and chaos (still waiting to access meds) but much less self loathing.

Huh! I just learned that we hoomans are one of the few if not the only animals who can run for 40KM straight!

Ofc many other animals outrun us in a spring but long distance we rule!

Thanks for the follows :)
I'm probably not going to follow back if you're evangelical Christian or Messianic.
I'm happy to follow liberal or progressive folks of any religion.
